"His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray."
Proverbs 5:22-23
I think this is one of the saddest parts of sin, because it is like killing ourselves... cutting ourselves off from the things that really matter, and the things that could help us, like instruction from God. It always reminds me of Jacob Marley coming to visit Scrooge, and warning him. Today, let's open our closed hearts and listen and learn from God. If we can hear him, he can do the miracle of saving us from our own folly.
