"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing."
Phillippians 3:13-16
This seems to be talking about letting go of the past and moving forward, working towards the future, following God's path. I like that idea. I think we often get disracted and bogged down by things around us, but also by our own past actions and feelings of guilt or unworthiness or anger, resentment... so many options. :) So, letting those things go and moving towards Christ is excellent advice. Even if we've done really well thus far (as is suggested in the last verse of the selection), it is still a good suggestion... let's not let pride or overconfidence get in our way either. No matter what has gone before, today, let's focus on God and do everything we can to move in that direction.
