Reading this today made me think of getting back to the basics. There is a lot to learn in the gospel, but the building can't be completed unless we first start with a solid foundation... and a lot of that starts here, with repentance and remission of sins.
Just the idea of God being able to wipe away our mistakes is amazing... that we can be perfectly and totally clean spiritually despite our sins if we are willing to walk with God and learn from him how to change... no wonder it is the primary responsibility of priests and teachers.
Today, let's repent of our sins and return to check in with God before we try going further. It's always good to remember the basics and renew our committments to change and to keep the commandments. The more we establish that foundation, the more solid and disaster-proof our lives will be. :)
