"And it came to pass in the thirty and sixth year, the people were all converted unto the Lord, upon all the face of the land, both Nephites and Lamanites, and there were no contentions and disputations among them, and every man did deal justly one with another."
4 Nephi 1:2
The whole dealing justly thing is really amazing, along with no contentions and disputations of course. I think that somewhere within us we all want that kind of a society, but we don't necessarily know how to get there, especially how to trust, and all the things that we do in our own lives to sabotage that dream. But God knows how to get there, and how to help us keep hope alive in striving to live worthy of that sort of a community.
Today, let's remember what the source of our peace and our hope is, and let's pray to God to please help us to take the next step in our lives towards that kind of unity with our fellow beings.
