"And it came to pass that they did stop and withdrew a pace from them. And Moroni said unto Zerahemnah: Behold, Zerahemnah, that we do bnot desire to be men of blood. Ye know that ye are in our hands, yet we do not desire to slay you."
Alma 44:1
I like the idea here of not wanting to be "men of blood" and even though the other group was trying to kill them, they stopped and offered mercy when the outcome was clearly going their way.
I feel like this is something we can apply in our lives... not only in a dont't kill (or punch) the people you are mad at way, but also the similar idea that when we have the advantage over other people, we should never use it to harm or seek revenge, but rather always try to be people of peace, and show love and mercy whenever possible, as God does for us.
Today let's seek peace, and not press our advantage or make things worse when we have the upper hand, but rather strive with God's help to make things better.
