"How do ye know of their surety? Behold, ye cannot know of things which ye do not see; therefore ye cannot know that there shall be a Christ."
Alma 30:15
I think we hear things like this a lot... that only physical/tangible evidence really means anything, and spiritual evidence is worthless... but it isn't true. We can know of things that we don't see. That's actually how we get a lot of information from trusted sources. We can't experience everything in person, so we have to learn where to get other information.
The ultimate answer, of course, is God. He's the only one we can trust 100% of the time, and the only one who has our best interests at heart and no side agendas or ulterior motives. But he has also given us some valuable earthly sources as well. The scriptures and the words of modern prophets can guide us and help us to know the real truth, even when someone is actively trying to decieve us.
Today, let's remember that we can know, through Christ, of things far beyond mere sight.
