"So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city."
Joshua 6:20
This reminded me today that God's answers aren't things that we can anticipate. He sees more, and is far wiser than we are, and so the things that he asks us to do and the answers that he gives us are not always going to be the answers that we expect or want... but they are always the right choice, because God can see how creation is woven together, and the end from the beginning.
Another thing that it means is that even when we can't see a solution or think that things are hopeless, the Lord knows of a solution, and offers hope. Again, it might not be the answer we want, but there is always a way forward with God.
