"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do."
Hebrews 4:12-13
These verses are good reminders of the nature of God. He created everything, and he knows our thoughts and the desires of our hearts. We can't hide anything from him. ... All of that is okay though, since we can trust him. Some part of ourselves already loves and trusts him from the preexistence, in fact.
Another thing that I think is interesting here is that it starts talking about the word of God, but is clearly referring to God himself... thus making no difference between the word and the actual fact, which I think shows how things SHOULD be, and probably makes an important statement about how God spoke and created the world as well.
There shouldn't be a difference between what we say and what we are, and God is the ultimate example of that, embodying everything that he is... an ultimate truth. Today, let's try to be who we say we are as well... embracing truth much more fully, letting it become part of us.
