1 Timothy 6:5-6

"Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
But godliness with contentment is great gain."
1 Timothy 6:5-6

I like this. It is a good point that gain is not godliness... but even more I like the part where it talks about Godliness *with* contentment is great gain... that being content with it is part of the process.  We can't just do the right thing and be uncomfortable or resent it.  We have to do the right thing, and understand why it is right, and how it is better than doing the wrong thing.  We don't have to get there immediately, but we do eventually... and that is the goal, and what we really gain. :)
