I
was talking to one of my good friends on sunday about sometimes feeling
like God hates you... when you get off track sometimes we expect that
God is going to smite us or want us to suffer for a long time before
being allowed to return... but God knows us already, all of us, the good
and the bad, and he loves us anyway. He wants to bless our lives, and
feeling like we can't approach God is what Satan wants us to believe.
Maybe we won't get through when we first try, but we need the practice,
and with persistence, God will not fail to answer our prayers and
cleanse our lives... the work is all in committing ourselves to living
the right way... not in suffering. Christ suffered FOR us. The only
pain that we should be going through is the pain of repentance, whatever
will get us back to the path, back to the Spirit, back to God. After
that, we're okay. We don't have to beat ourselves up for years, or even
days... we just have to commit ourselves to doing better.
