Mormon 9:20-21, 25, 27-28

"And the reason why he ceaseth to do miracles among the children of men is because that they dwindle in unbelief, and depart from the right way, and know not the God in whom they should trust.
Behold I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth.
. . .
And whosoever shall believe in my name, doubting nothing, unto him will I confirm all my words, even unto the ends of the earth.
. . .
O then despise not, and wonder not, but hearken unto the words of the Lord, and ask the Father in the name of Jesus for what things soever ye shall stand in need.  Doubt not, but be believing, and begin as in times of old, and come unto the Lord with all your heart, and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling before him.
Be wise in the days of your probation; strip yourselves of all uncleanness; ask not, that ye may consume it on your lusts, but ask with a firmness unshaken, that ye will yield to no temptation, but that ye will serve the true and living God."
Mormon 9:20-21, 25, 27-28

So, the scripture is really long today... I'll try to make my comments short.  Here are the things I like... in the first verse, the reason why God doesn't do miracles in our lives at times is because we don't know him and don't trust him... second verse... if we believe him, and can trust and not doubt... then ANYTHING that we ask will be given to us... so we need to be careful what we ask for.  next verse, God will confirm his words to us as well... if we are unsure of some particular part of the gospel, or need some reassurance or guidance... the Lord offers it.  next verse... along the same theme... ask, ask, ask.  don't doubt... come unto God with all of your heart... your emotions, your love, your sensitivity, your vulnerability... trust God, and he will help you figure out your life, and how to get through this test.  next verse... be wise. :)  interesting use of the word "probation" ... I could talk about that for a while, but I won't... :)  probably just means a testing period... and we know that's what this earth life is.  and then he tells us some things to ask for.  so, the moral of the story... ask God.  God has everything we need, and wants us to have it.  He has the answers to all the questions, and he wants us to know... but we have to first... believe that, and then second... act on it.  God is the source of all truth... and we need that truth.  So, whatever it is in your life that you need... *anything* at all... talk to God about it.  Tell him what you need... and then watch what happens in your life.  I could talk for hours about answers to my prayers... God is really there.  Don't doubt it for a second.
