"Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins."
Proverbs 10:12
This makes me think of perspective. If we really love someone then we have a tendency to forgive them, not because we want them to stew in sin and become worse people, or ruin their lives, but because we believe in their ability to overcome their challenges and to improve. We want to support them in finding happiness and joy. People outside that circle of love, we don't necessarily believe in that. We assume they are bad, set in their bad ways.
I think one cool thing here is that God encloses us all in that inner circle... in the arms of his love. He believes in us and knows that we can change for the better and find happiness. Maybe not in the way we are looking for it right now, but he can help us find the way. Today, let's forgive others, working on thinking about everyone with love, and let's also turn to God for help and guidance in repenting and finding our way to righteousness and happiness... because they are indeed the same thing in the end.
