"And it came to pass that the master of the vineyard went forth, and he saw that his olive tree began to decay; and he said: I will prune it, and dig about it, and nourish it, that perhaps it may shoot forth young and tender branches, and it perish not."
Jacob 5:4
I like this analogy of the Lord caring for us, showing that he can see that we aren't doing well, and wanting to do everything he can to save us. Today, let's open ourselves up to the idea of being saved, and let go of our spiritual death wish. :) Let's listen, and learn, and grow in goodness. God wants us to live, and if we are open to that in any degree, he has the power to bring us back to life and save us, even from ourselves. Let's grow, and change, and dedicate ourselves to being good. As we do, he will pull us back, no matter how wilted or corrupt, and restore us and help us, and save us, infusing us with health and life and hope.
