"And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth."
Isaiah 12:4-5
A couple of verses before this, the speaker says that the Lord Jehovah is our strength, our song, and our salvation, which is alliterative and also amazing, talking about what it will be like to actually live with God during the Millenium.
The selection is also cool because it is talking about that same time and I feel like it gets the idea across that just being there will be perpetually astonishing. We'll always be wanting to sing and praise the Lord because the reality of it all won't fade. Christ will actually be there in front of us, and our whole souls will want to sing for the joy that we feel. :)
Definitely not diminishing the idea of that time, and hopefully we'll be working to get there... but I also submit that we can have a taste of that joy now, as we call upon God in prayer, read our scriptures, and pay attention to modern prophets. That is the way that the Lord can speak to us directly, and even if we don't feel a connection at first, as we keep working at prayer and scripture study, we will start to feel it, and learn to recognize the Spirit, which is God communicating with us.
Today, let's work on making that conneciton with God, which will not only help us move toward the joyful days of the Millenium, but also to have much more joy in our daily lives now. :)
