"And again, the duty of the President of the office of the High Priesthood is to preside over the whole church, and to be like unto Moses—
Behold, here is wisdom; yea, to be a seer, a revelator, a translator, and a prophet, having all the gifts of God which he bestows upon the head of the church."
Doctrine and Covenants 107:91-92
I like the idea here of a modern day Moses, leading his people through the machinations of Pharoah, guiding them as they regain their independence, and helping them to find the promised land. There are different troubles to navigate today, of course, but God is still with us, and guiding us through prophets and revelation. Today, let's be mindful of God, include him in our lives (and start making ourselves part of his life), and be willing to follow the prophet and apostles and build the Lord's Kingdom.
