It's sad on some level that we have to learn so many things the hard way. I think that God does give us the opportunity to learn things an easier way, but we rarely take advantage of those opportunities, unfortunately waiting till the lessons are more painful. ... I don't think that God wants to see us suffer at all, but I am thankful that he persists in teaching us, so that we have a chance to actually get it, and that we have the opportunity to still learn the lessons, even in a painful way. Learning the lessons is the most important thing, and leaving us to just wander around without that opportunity to grow and progress... that would be the cruel thing. Today, let's learn, in an easy a way as possible would be great, but let's not back down from pain that is necessary to growth.
