"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
Hebrews 10:24-25
The whole provoking thing usually seems bad, like you are pushing people's buttons and trying to get them angry, but I kind of like the idea if it is provoking people to love, and to do good. Maybe those are areas where it is worthwhile to be prodded a little bit. :) Inspiring others to do good seems a lot better than the nitpicking or power plays that we often see.
Today, let's try turning things around, and if we're going to provoke each other, let's provoke each other to positive action... to actively loving and doing good. :) And, as always, let's pray to God to help us have the wisdom to follow his commandments as he desires, and not interpret them in a harmful way. Let's gather together to do good and lift each other up.
