"For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."
1 Corinthians 8:5-6
I like the clarification here that while there are many that are called gods, to us there is only one Heavenly Father, only one Christ. The "of whom" and "by whom" is interesting too, as well as "in him" and "by him," but I'm not sure what the distinction is. Today, let's remember our Father, doing his will as Christ also did while he was on the earth, and also Jesus Christ who suffered and died for us. Let's be thankful for the gift of life and for our promised salvation, and do our best to help and serve others that we can have a chance to experience that better world and be reunited with God and our loved ones.
