"Wherefore, in my days, I would that ye should know that I fought much with the sword to preserve my people, the Nephites, from falling into the hands of their enemies, the Lamanites. But behold, I of myself am a wicked man, and I have not kept the statutes and the commandments of the Lord as I ought to have done."
Omni 1:2
This made me think about how we will judge ourselves, looking back on our lives. Omni recognizes that he fought for his people, but that he is wicked. ... Maybe today we should stop and look back a little sooner than Omni did, and if we realize that we are wicked, or off track, let's do something about it. If we don't know how or we think it is too hard, then let's go to the Lord. Nothing is too hard for him, and he loves it when we ask him to teach us how to make better choices. Let's do better, and not end our days as an Omni, accepting our own wickedness. Let's fight it and with God's help, overcome it.
