Mosiah 14:7 -- On Silence

"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he opened not his mouth."
Mosiah 14:7

This is talking about Christ's death, and makes me wonder how hard it was for him to be silent about so much injustice. In our lives we complain a lot about things that aren't fair (to us). I wonder if silence, at least when we can't do anything about it, is a better strategy. No more thinking up retorts or trying to exact revenge, or broadcasting our displeasure. We'd probably have a lot more energy to invest in doing something good. Perhaps something to try today... a little silence in the right spots could improve things.
