It isn't one of those happy-happy-joy-joy scriptures, but the reason I picked it is because it can save us so much pain... so many times we forget God unless our lives are getting all stressed and hard to manage, and then we remember that we need Him. If we remember today that we need him, then there is no reason for our lives to get stressful or hard to manage, because we will call on Him for help a lot sooner.
And, I also think that Revelation is utterly appropriate for the whole end-of-the-world Y2K theme...
