"And whoso receiveth this record, and shall not condemn it because of the imperfections which are in it, the same shall know of greater things than these. Behold, I am Moroni; and were it possible, I would make all things known unto you."
Mormon 8:12
I like Moroni talking directly to us, even though we are reading these words hundreds of years after he wrote his advice. It's really cool, the whole whispering or crying out of the dust thing (Isaiah 29:4, 2 Nephi 33:13). It shows the ability of scripture to make a difference, and the word of God to transcend time. I also like the advice here, to seek the greater things that are to be found in the scripture before us. God didn't ask these people, his prophets, to make these records just for fun. They exist for us, to help us and guide us in the right way. Today, let's search them, and look for those greater things that the Lord wants to tell us, and follow up with God in prayer so that he can guide our steps as we read, and as we walk through our lives, showing us the way.
