Mosiah 6:7 -- Onl Building Celestial Communities

"And king Mosiah did cause his people that they should till the earth. And he also, himself, did till the earth, that thereby he might not become burdensome to his people, that he might do according to that which his father had done in all things. And there was no contention among all his people for the space of three years."
Mosiah 6:7

I really like the idea here of the king worried about "being burdensome" to his people, and that he participated in the work of the community. I think that is part of God's recipe for Celestial/Zion people--that we all care about and work for each other, no matter our current position or status. It brings to mind stories about General Authorities leaving all of their clothing behind except those they are wearing, because as they traveled someplace, they ran into people who needed those things more than they did.

Today, let's think more about the people around us, and make sure that we're lifting and helping and contributing rather than being burdensome. :)
