D&C 46:30-32 -- On Spiritual Gifts and Blessings

"He that asketh in the Spirit asketh according to the will of God; wherefore it is done even as he asketh. And again, I say unto you, all things must be done in the name of Christ, whatsoever you do in the Spirit; And ye must give thanks unto God in the Spirit for whatsoever blessing ye are blessed with."
Doctrine and Covenants 46:30-32 This is near the end of the section talking about spiritual gifts, and I really liked this last advice. If we are in tune with God, and ask for something, then we can trust that it is also God's will. We need to do everything in the name of Christ, because Christ is the center of all of it, and we should express our thankfulness for our blessings. When we leave that part out, it is easy to start feeling that it is something that we did without God's involvement, which is true of very little that is good. Today, let's cultivate the Spirit, remember, and offer thanks.
