"Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger."
Zephaniah 2:3
The idea of meekness is interesting. I think some people see it as weakness or being a doormat, but God doesn't mean it that way at all. To be meek is to see reality--instead of assuming that we can do it all ourselves, we recognize our strengths, weaknesses, and our need for help from God, and our need for each other.
As we seek God and to follow his plan, we'll get the help that we need to succeed in an eternal sense, and we won't find ourselves growing up into tares. Today, let's put some effort into seeking and learning all we can about, and from, the Lord.
