"Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans."
John 4:9
I really like the story of the woman at the well, and thsi part of it strikes me because Christ was reaching outside of cultural norms even talking to this woman, and showing that his love and mercy and grace are offered to anyone.
Today, let's make sure we are listening to God and not just blindly following cultural norms as we determine who we should reach out to, and how we can follow in Christ's footsteps. Let's recognize the humanity of others even if they aren't in the same groups we are, or if we have little in common.
