D&C 117:5-7 -- On Letting Go

"Let the properties of Kirtland be turned out for debts, saith the Lord. Let them go, saith the Lord, and whatsoever remaineth, let it remain in your hands, saith the Lord.
For have I not the fowls of heaven, and also the fish of the sea, and the beasts of the mountains? Have I not made the earth? Do I not hold the destinies of all the armies of the nations of the earth?
Therefore, will I not make solitary places to bud and to blossom, and to bring forth in abundance? saith the Lord."
Doctrine and Covenants 117:5-7

Good advice from the Lord on letting go. It is a hard thing for us, because we have learned ownership and how *not* to share from the world. God, even in the hardest of times, is helping us learn a better way of living, and ultimately to trust that he will do what he promises, and take care of us if we do his will and put him first. ... Doesn't mean it will always be perfect, but that is part of learning faith. Remembering God in the good times and the bad, and trusting that he is doing exactly the right thing for our lives every single time.

Today, let's work on letting go of whatever is standing in the way of trusting the Lord. As we learn to put God first, then he will bless us abundantly and grant our righteous desires... and in his hands we will prosper, as the Lord makes even the solitary places to blossom. :)
