Alma 30:45 -- On Signs

"And yet do ye go about, leading away the hearts of this people, testifying unto them there is no God? And yet will ye deny against all these witnesses? And he said: Yea, I will deny, except ye shall show me a sign."
Alma 30:45

Korihor made a mistake here... one that benefitted the church, for sure, but since he was aiming at proving there wasn't a God, and he already knew there was one, he probably shouldn't have provoked God with a direct confrontation here. God isn't opposed to miracles, but demanding a sign? Seems like asking for trouble.
Today, let's have a little faith and even if we are confused and distraught, let's trust just enough to pray and talk to God about it, letting him show us the truth in his time and his way rather than demanding that God do things our way and show us a sign. When we do that we're very fortunate if it does not come, and God gives us time to rethink. If it does come, it is likely to come in a way that we aren't going to like, as in this case.
