"And it came to pass that we did go up to battle against the Lamanites; and I, even I, in my old age, did go up to battle against the Lamanites. And it came to pass that we did go up in the strength of the Lord to battle."

There are a lot of battle/war verses in the scriptures, but in some of them the Lord is on their side, and in some he isn't. The difference is sometimes whether they are the aggressors or not, especially in the Book of Mormon, but the overall rule that seems to fit them all is just... are they listening to God and doing as he asks, or not?
I think that we can apply this to our lives. Maybe our daily battles aren't actual physical warfare... hopefully they aren't... but we have to struggle nonetheless, and it takes courage and strength to do as the Lord asks. Today, let's learn from this verse and act in obedience so that just like the people of Zeniff here, we can "go up in the strength of the Lord" with confidence that the Lord will help us overcome our external challenges and triumph over our own weaknesses as well.
