Psalms 4:4 -- On Being Still

"Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah."
Psalms 4:4

Our Relief Society lesson today was based on Bishop Budge's talk from this last conference (Link), and I really liked a lot of what he had to say about stillness, which is similar to the advice in this verse. Today, let's not let the distractions of the world pull us away from God, but let's make the mental effort to be still, remembering and focusing on God.

When we pray/meditate with God, we don't have to say anything, but we can if we want to. The idea is to lift our hearts to him, and to be able to feel his love... and to take similar time regularly to commune with the Lord. We don't need to fear or run away from our trials, which are there for us to learn from. He will shelter us and protect us if we turn to him in quietness and peace.
