Luke 5:8 -- On Being Willing to Change

"When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord."

I like the development of Peter. Here, he has Christ come on board his boat to teach, and presumably he also listened, but when the miracle happens, Peter worries that he is not worthy... although after this he leaves everything to follow Christ, so despite feeling unworthy, he was willing to change and to answer the call.

Today, let's take Peter's example to heart and however unworthy we might feel, let's be willing to change and answer Christ's call. Let's keep his commandments and walk his path as we learn to do good to others and to put God first, learning to love him and understand the plan he has for all of us.
