Luke 10:36-37 -- On Neighbors

"Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise."
Luke 10:36-37

This is just after the story of the Good Samaritan, which itself was prompted by the question "who is my neighbor," asking for clarification of the scriptural charge to love our neighbors as ourselves. It's a great reminder that we choose to be neighbors to others, and the concept isn't limited to the people next door.

Today, let's remember to be good neighbors to the people around us, as Christ asks.
