Micah 5:7-8 -- On Restoring the Remnants

"And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver."
Micah 5:7-8

This is talking about the Last Days, and it's interesting because it seems like the opposite of what has historically happened to the Lord's people... they were scattered and lost, and persecuted and beaten, but in the end, when Christ stands for them, they will be gathered and triumphant.

Sounds scary in some ways, but also just, as righting the wrongs of history must be at some point. I think in order for that to happen we as the Lord's people have to repent of past mistakes and be worthy of having the Lord fight our battles. In other words, we have to be the good guys, and make sure that we are on the Lord's side. As we do, the Lord will strengthen and help us to overcome evil, and make the world better.
