"They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat."
Revelation 7:16
Can you imagine this? Not having to eat or drink, and apparently not being affected by light or heat? We read elsewhere that at the ressurection there will be no more sickness or sorrow, so this seems to go along with that really well, but still kind of mind blowing that things that seem so important here won't be important at all.
And perhaps that is true of almort everything in our lives... we waste a lot of time and effort on things that just don't matter long-term. And if it is something good that brings us and others joy, then awesome, but probably good to take a step back and think about it--what really matters, and is there a way that we can focus more of our efforts there?
Today, let's pause and consider eternity, and work for it.
