"He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor."
Proverbs 22:9
I like the idea here of having a bountiful eye. I think that is more than a physical trait or a generous impulse, but a way of seeing that we can learn. Instead of only seeing our current limited resources, perhaps with a bountiful eye we can have faith in God's abundant blessings as well, and know that God will help us as we help others.
Today, let's talk to God about learning to have a bountiful eye, and seeing the way that God does, knowing that what we need will be provided as we have faith, and being instruments in his hands to make sure that others are provided for as well.
