I think that this is what repentance is about on a lot of levels... clearing the channels between us and God. If we are working for Satan, first we have to quit that job in order to go to work for God. It's hard to change jobs, and hard to change ourselves sometimes and learn a different career, but God is a much better boss and offers superior benefits. ... Probably took the analogy too far, because God is a lot more than a boss to us, and our "employment" motivated by so much more than money, but you get the idea.
Today, let's quit the devil and make the changes that we need to be able to make our way back to God and everything that truly matters. Let's choose God so we can think of, and believe in, salvation.
