"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."
Romans 6:11-13
There are some interesting ideas here that are kind of foreign to us in mortality. It is easy to be ruled by our bodies, going after "the lusts thereof," but also in the way we think about ourselves. If we follow our physical instincts rather than our spiritual instincts, we can get pretty far astray from what God offers us.
Today, let's take God's advice here and yeild ourselves unto God, trusting his guidance over our own desires.
