2 Peter 1:2-3 -- On Lives of Glory and Virtue

"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:"
2 Peter 1:2-3

Some of the greetings in these letters are amazing, and this is one of them. I love the idea of having grace and peace multiplied, but my favorite part is probably the part about being called to glory and virtue.

Thinking about that got me to thinking that our lives would probably be richly improved if we belived that, and treated our lives as though we were called on a virtuous and glorious adventure. ... Which we really have, right? We're not here to fail. We're here to be heroes, and to win the day, triumph over our foes, and save everyone. :)

Today, let's maybe take a step back and think about being called by God to be where we are, and that he expects us to be amazing. :) ... And then, of course, let's go out and really be that, because with his help, we can triumph. :)
