Isaiah 40:1

"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God."
Isaiah 40:1

I like this.  We all need comfort sometimes... and that is something that we can do for each other.  God offers comfort, but sometimes in our worst moments we aren't connected with him enough to feel it tangibly enough, and he needs us to help each other.  And maybe we won't always accept comfort from anyone... but sometimes we will.  Just knowing that someone cares can make a huge difference.  Today, let's be there for each other.  Offering comfort where needed, and also looking to God for comfort as we are able.  ... And let's also try to not offer discomfort.  We can save the pranks and the confrontation for another day.

  1. any thoughts about posting some of the dead sea scrolls? It is interesting not much has been said, at lease from what little I know. I am curious if anyone has did any substantial posting. Could be someone's already posted all that there is to be had regarding the scrolls found in the cave. If you know of anything please advise. Thank you.

  2. The Dead Sea Scrolls are available online, or many of them are at least. See this site: http://www.deadseascrolls.org.il/. I have heard some interesting stories from people who are translating them, but as far as posting things here... until we get an English translation of any portion not already collected in the Bible (many of the fragments are verses and books already collected there), I wouldn't be able to comment. :)
