2 Corinthians 4:18

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:18

I like this scripture because it makes me think. :) Sometimes we get into "wordly" mode... and it is hard to see past it. We don't trust things that we don't have physical evidence of. Even God's love, which "surpasseth all understanding," we evaluate as less than whatever earthly love or habit we are wrapped up in at the moment.  We don't have tangible evidence of the superiority of his love and our relationship with him, and so we discount it... but if we pause to ponder a moment, we can remember the evidence that we've had. Emotions and spiritual evidence isn't less because it is not tangible... it's true, and eternal evidence of what is really important.  ... and if we're so blinded by the earthly that we actually can't remember, then it is time to get on our knees and pray. Nothing else holds such great spiritual power as prayer... the act of communicating with God. It illustrates faith that he is there, and if you ask, God will help you remember the spiritual evidence that you have had... and offer you more. :)  Let's remember today how much he loves us, and make sure we place him above earthly things in our priorities.
