Hebrews 4:11

"Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
Hebrews 4:11

It is interesting how hard you have to work to be able to rest sometimes. :)  But rest that you have worked for is peaceful, and unstressed.  Rest that you haven't worked for usually has some stress around the edges... worry seeps in that you should be doing this or that, or that you need to face something. :)  I can't even imagine how peaceful the Rest that God offers will be, but it has to be ten times better than the best you can get here. :)  The other thing that this scripture brings up is how easy it is to fall or be diverted when you aren't working for something... when there is no purpose or goal to focus your mind, heart, and actions on.  We are free to choose what to believe, but when we choose to believe in nothing at all then we just start unraveling ourselves because there is nothing to hold us together.  I don't know if I am making sense to anyone besides myself, but I suppose the point is that we should be working for something greater than ourselves or we will get stuck in not having anything to work for at all... and pointlessness is never good. :)
