Isaiah 40:28-31 -- On Weakness and Wings

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Isaiah 40:28-31

A scripture of the day a while back talked about Christ sleeping, and that it was kind of hard to imagine. :)  So, this one says that God doesn't get tired. :)  That is SO cool. :)  Maybe in his earth life his body had to sleep for a while, but overall, he doesn't get tired... doesn't get worn out from doing all that powerful God-stuff that he does.  And not even tired of listening to us... which is amazing. :)

And, there is no searching of his understanding... no need to evaluate and say... hmm... I wonder if God really knows what he is talking about. :)  He does, of course. :)  Another cool thing... he not only has amazing power, understanding, and non-tiredness... but he gives power to us when we are weak.  When we have come to the end of our rope... God lends us his. :)  Even the youngest and strongest of our earthly peers are going to get tired, weak, and fall... but God *never* will.

If we don't give up when we start feeling weak, but wait for the Lord to help us... then we'll get a refill of strength, and not only will we have power to handle whatever it is that we are faced with today... or whatever day... we'll have so much power that we will be able to transcend our normal ways of dealing with problems... no more limping, stumbling, walking, or running along the path to the tree of life... we'll be flying.
